Marc Joseph “Mojo” was born and raised in a hot bed of rhythm…New Orleans !  There he cut his teeth playing in garage bands, high school marching bands and the unique Brass Bands of The Big EZ. He then made his way into the diverse nightclubs and eventually entered the University of New Orleans on a scholarship to study with late great Jazz patriarchs, Ellis Marsalis and Harold Batiste (Uncle of music superstar Jon Batiste)

After receiving his degree, Marc toured / performed /recorded with many All Star NOLA musicians including… Dr. John, Walter Wolfman Washington, George Porter Jr, Ernie Vincent, Dave Easley, Jason Neville and many many more..

 

 

Re-locating to Los Angeles, Marc won the “Ludwig Millennium Drum Off Competition” and soon became the drummer for MTV Piano Boy, John Ernst.

He received critical acclaim for his drumming which launched a busy career as a working, session drummer. Mojo eventually became a member of Smile Pop recording artists “The Andersons” & Venice Beaches “Gumbo Brothers.”  He then Joined forces with drumming Icon, Carmine Appice to create the innovative drum ensemble “SLAMM” which performed in theaters nationwide. He has also been the drummer of choice for VIP Charity events with the great Herbie Hancock, Joe Walsh & Olivia Newton John.

 

After returning to New Orleans, Marc Mojo Joseph was inducted into the NOWHOF (New Orleans West Bank Hall of Fame)

 

As a Music Producer/Engineer, numerous companies like FOX, ESPN & KENWOOD  have called on Marc’s sound, direction and multi-Instrumental nature. Other Commercial Film & TV credits include…Boston Legal, NASCAR, Alley McBeal and more.

Mojo maintains a state of the art home studio in NOLA called “CRETE CORNER STUDIOS” that records incredible artists In House or via Remote links all around the country.

As a Percussionist, Mojo has performed extensively with African Yoruba Master, Ayo Adeyemi as well as the UCLA World Dance Co.

 

 

As a Composer Mojo has scored various independent films and written music for ESPN, Travel Channel and Food Network. He also has a vast library of Original songs available on all streaming platforms.

He can currently be seen live with his own groups, Mojo Combo or Mojo Triage on any given night in New Orleans.
